3. Note for settings
- Labels
- EPH (Elliott Pattern Helper) context menu 'Fractal Counting' generates a chart and an ocillator, and you can choose the chart type, one of OHLC and HLC. If you are to choose OHLC type, you should set 'Open Label' appropriately.
- Oscillators can be generated based on either close prices or mean values of high and low prices. If you are to use close prices, you should set 'Close Label'.
- Oscillator
- An oscillator is a large period simple moving average subtracted from a small period simple moving average, and its signal is a simple moving average of the oscillator itself of some period. Set moving average periods appropriately.
- If you check 'Elliott Chart displays an oscillator', EPH context menu 'Elliott Chart' will display a chart with an oscillator.
- Counting
- Wave Counting is experimental.
- 'Consecutive tractals' means two or more fractals of same sort, i.e., up fractals or down fractals. If you choose 'Skip', then only highest (if up) or lowest (if down) fractal will be counted.
- If you are to use 'Williams' MFI', you should set 'Volume Label' first.
